Working with corporations to help develop strategic short, medium, and long-term investment plans is at the core of Andrew Hutcheson’s business approach. His consulting business is built on collaborating with institutional corporations and those in the C-Suite. Andrew has deep knowledge and experience on executive compensation and planning, advising wealthy families, large and small corporations both privately held and publicly traded, their principals and their advisors.
Andrew is a SVP, Divisional Sales Manager of Wedbush Securities, with more than 20 years in financial services. He works with companies and individuals who are typically in the media, telecommunications, entertainment and technology space. Before joining Wedbush, Andrew served as a Managing Director with Alex Brown, a division of Raymond James. Prior to Alex Brown, Andrew was with UBS where he was a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant and a Senior Portfolio Manager, leading the Corporate Services team for the Endeavor Financial Group, and was responsible for business development in the field of Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation for the entire firm. He began his wealth management career with Edward Jones Investment, where he became a performance leader for its western region and also led it retirement plan business. Throughout his career he has also helped each of his firms with its respective recruiting efforts, and at his peak brought on 32 financial advisors during his tenure with Edward Jones, earning recruiting awards three years in a row.
In addition to his strategic wealth management experience, Andrew previously ran a region in California of 170 insurance advisors that spanned from Bakersfield to San Diego. He has been featured on National Public Radio, the Financial Times and previously produced his own podcast.
Andrew lives in Hancock Park with his wife, their three children, and a myriad of animals. They love to travel and be outdoors, and are very involved with the local community. He is also a former soccer player and still enjoys watching, playing, and coaching.
