About Us
For more than 70 years, Wedbush has been driven by a foundational idea: relentless client service with a dedication to excellence. Our commitment to seamless execution, tailored advisory, and trust continues to guide how we serve and shape the future of financial services.
The Wedbush story began in 1955, when two young entrepreneurs, Edward Wedbush and Robert Werner, set out to build something different. Fresh out of college, they each invested $5,000 to establish Wedbush & Company. That entrepreneurial vision became the foundation for a company that continues to evolve more than seven decades later.
Today, Wedbush is a leading global financial services firm headquartered in Pasadena, California, serving institutions and individuals around the world. Our comprehensive platform spans multi-asset clearing, prime brokerage, execution, wealth management, and investment banking services. By combining industry expertise with innovation, we help clients navigate complex markets and pursue their financial goals with confidence.
As a member of every major US stock exchange, with the ability to execute across global markets, we provide the infrastructure and support clients rely on to operate effectively in today’s markets.
Together, we empower our clients, colleagues, and communities to realize a better future.

A Look Back
Ed’s Words of Wisdom
Living Frugal: “If you are not prepared to live frugally, do not become an owner of a start-up business. You will squeeze yourself from too many directions. You’ve got to live below your income, whatever it might be. This is a very key element in growing a business. For the first 10 years of business, my take-home earnings were always lower than what I could have done had I maximized my employment opportunities. That was a trade-off I made.”
